Volunteers are always needed. Following are specific needs—but if you have a special gift you would like to offer, let us know and we'll make certain it is incorporated. Our client base is 80% Hispanic so it is most helpful if you are somewhat fluent in Spanish!

LIFE Houston: We need bilingual (Spanish/English) volunteers to work with this program that provides emergency infant formula/food (birth through 12 months) to all in our community— with virtually no restrictions! The mission is to make certain the children are fed.

VITA: Volunteer Income Tax Preparation Assistance—Volunteers needed January through April 2008. Call us!

RESOURCE VALIDATION SUPPORT: Agencies come and go—and what they can provide comes and goes. We need two or three people who will help us update our resource database. Can be done at ECHOS or from your home.

GARDENING: We have a wonderful green space at ECHOS. It needs to be tended to, nurtured and cared for!

As with all non-profit organizations, ECHOS is always grateful for donations-small or large-made to support our operations or special projects. As a 501(C)3 organization, donations are tax deductible.

Memorial gifts are very special—but so are acknowledgements of birthdays, anniversaries—or just the fact that it is the first day of a new month and we want to celebrate this! ECHOS will acknowledge any and all gifts given—both to the giver and to the recipient!

FOR EVERY CHILD A BOOK
This program provides every child who visits our campus to receive a book to take home. We gratefully accept donations of new or very gently used children's books, especially those that are bi-lingual Spanish/English.
